4M / 70Mhz IRTS Radio News Service 3 April 2022

The East Leinster Amateur Radio Club (ELARC) will continue the portable nature of the station and will be transmitting this week's news on 4m from the hills outside Skerries, County Dublin.

The club will be putting out a few radio check calls from 1015am on 70.400 using the callsign of EI 0 EL

This location has given us good coverage into Louth, Meath, Westmeath, Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare in the past.

: Sunday 3 April 2022
Time: 1030am local time
Frequency: 70.400Mhz

Looking forward to talking to you either before the news or during the call-ins.

  1. Thanks to all that called into the 4m news this morning.
We had a small delay in getting started due to getting the portable 30foot telescopic mast up and securely guyed.
The broadcast started shortly after 1030am
Call in's came for both portable and fixed stations in Dublin, Wicklow and Meath
It's always great to hear from regular callers, some of who are always out mobile or portable and those with fixed setups at their QTH.

We are looking forward to the AGM next weekend and hope to see you all there.
